Guidelines
OBJECTIVE:
This Special Achievement Award was established to assist upper sophomore, junior and senior college students toward their education.
** GRADUATE STUDENTS ARE INELIGIBLE **
ELIGIBILITY:
-
Students must have completed a minimum of 3 semesters of college courses.

Must carry a minimum of twelve (12) credits per semester
-
Must be currently attending an accredited school seeking an Associates or Bachelors Degree
-
Must have a cumulative “B” average (3.0 in a 4.0 system).

Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident (must submit copy of green card). Must reside in (NY, NJ, or CT).

AWARD:
The Hospitality Committee / Scholarship Fund will grant these awards to successful applicants in two installments. Upon receipt of requested information, checks will be mailed to an address designated by the recipient.
SELECTION PROCESS:
A panel of church and community representatives will conduct the interview. The
Criteria for selecting the successful students will be based on:
1. Academic achievements
2. Autobiography
3. Letters of recommendation (MUST BE SIGNED BY THE WRITER)
4. Interview by the Scholarship Panel mandatory on Saturday April 29, 2023
Recipient of an award must attend Graduation Ceremony on June 11, 2023 or the award will be forfeited.

The package must include the following:

Complete Application

Official College transcript
(THROUGH FALL SEMESTER OF SOPHOMORE YEAR)

Three (3) Letters of Recommendation (MUST BE SIGNED BY THE WRITER)
The letters may be from your professor, your counselor, job supervisor
or any professional person.

Autobiography – 400-500 words, typewritten and double-spaced.

Recent snapshot of you. (Picture will not be returned)
