Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crown Heights
We're so glad you're here. For over 70 years, First Baptist Church has been lovingly known as the Friendly Church on the Hill — a spiritual home rooted in Crown Heights, shaped by faith, and open to all. You'll find us at the corner of Eastern Parkway and Clarence and Ellen Norman Way (Rogers Avenue), where we've welcomed neighbors, newcomers, and sojourners for generations.
Whether you're visiting the area, recently relocated to the city, or simply searching for a place to belong — we want your time with us to be a meaningful one. Welcome home.
What to Expect

That vision has never left us. More than seven decades later, First Baptist Church continues to serve as a vital spiritual institution — a place of worship, community, and belonging for all who walk through our doors.
We gather for worship every Sunday at 10 AM in the sanctuary. Sunday School for Youth meets at 9 AM (September through June) in the Fellowship Hall. Communion is celebrated on the First Sunday of each month, Baby Blessings on the Third Sunday, and Baptism on Fifth Sundays. Worship services are typically 2 hours long. Come ready to worship God in Spirit and in Truth — and come as you are.
