Since 1967, 450 Eastern Parkway has been our spiritual home. Built in 1925 as an elegant catering hall, this historic building was reimagined by Rev. Dr. Clarence Norman Sr. and a faithful congregation into a center of hope — energized by powerful preaching, soulful worship, and a transformative social witness. For generations, First Baptist has married faith with action: advocating for affordable housing, launching job training programs, caring for seniors, and strengthening the families of Crown Heights. Now, as our building approaches its centennial, we are called to dream boldly once again.
commit to giving over time

Our sanctuary, the living room of our
church family, needs to be transformed by
integrating modern technology and
thoughtful design.
A SANCTUARY
FOR ALL
NURTURING THE NEXT
GENERATION
Our children and youth deserve dedicated
spaces for spiritual formation. We
envision creating environments that spark
imagination, foster learning, and
strengthen their connection to faith and
community.
SPACES FOR
DYNAMIC MINISTRY
Our Nursery, Choir Room, and Fellowship
Hall will be remodeled into efficient, multi-
purpose spaces equipped with 21st-
century technology. These adaptable
areas will support everything from small
group meetings to community gatherings,
enabling our ministries to thrive.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our restrooms and public spaces must be
fully ADA-compliant. These improvements
will also better accommodate families
with young children.
REIMAGINING OUR HOME
Our Centennial Campaign is a 24-month journey of generosity above and
beyond our regular tithes and offerings. We invite each person to prayerfully
consider making a commitment that reflects the significance First Baptist holds
in your life and heart.
make a one-time gift
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus
through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
— Ephesians 3:20-21
